SATCOM, Space, Defense; the Story of Amplitech Group Inc (OTCMKTS: AMPG)

Dec 02, 2020

Amplitech Group Inc (OTCMKTS: AMPG) is making a powerful run up the charts in recent days transforming into a volume leader and top traded stock in small caps. AMPG is a low floater currently on a blue sky breakout with 51 million shares out, almost half of which are restricted.

Amplitech is a Company on the move; a manufacturer of custom and standard state-of-the-art RF components for the Domestic and International, SATCOM, Space, Defense and Military markets that are quickly gaining serious traction. Sales for the 3 months ended September 30, 2020 were $1,150,732, up 62% from same period last year. The Company has Open orders as of August 14, 2020 of $1.8 million, up significantly from the first quarter 2020, as its pipeline begins to rebuild. Amplitech is preparing to uplist to NASDAQ or another national exchange.

Amplitech Group Inc (OTCMKTS: AMPG) operating out of Bohemia, New York designs, develops, and manufactures custom and standard state-of-the-art RF components for the Domestic and International, SATCOM, Space, Defense and Military markets. These designs cover the frequency range from 50 kHz to 40 GHz – eventually, offering designs up to 100 GHz. AmpliTech also provides consulting services to help with any microwave components or systems design problems. The Company has experienced steady growth over the past 13+ years which has come about because Amplitech can provide complex, custom solutions for nearly ANY custom requirements that are presented to them, In addition, the Company has the best assemblers, wires, and technicians in the industry and can provide contract assembly of customers’ own designs.

The Company’s products are supported by hybrid design topologies that create highly linear Radio Frequency (RF) products that amplify and transform signals with minimal addition of noise, achieving high Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) and increased receiver sensitivity and range, at a low cost and low power consumption. Amplitech hybrid design topologies include: Discrete Microwave Integrated Circuit (MIC), Pseudomorphic High Electron Mobility Transistor (PHEMT), and MIC and Low Noise MIC.

Amplitech recently filed its 10Q for the quarter ended June 30, 2020. Revenue for 2Q was $660,699 up $29,491 or 4.67% from the same quarter in 2019; revenue in 2Q was significantly affected by the Covid-19 induced shutdown, where both the company was forced to close its facilities for approximately 8 weeks, and its customers and its customer’s supply chains were disrupted. Open orders as of August 14, 2020 stood at approximately $1.8 million, up significantly from the first quarter 2020, as the company’s pipeline begins to rebuild.

On November 17 the Company filed a DEF 14C informing shareholders the BOD has approved a reverse stock split of the Company’s common stock, in connection with a potential listing on a national stock exchange in a ratio to be determined by the Board based on market conditions and the Company’s trading price at the time of such reverse split in the range of 1:100 to 1:200. While Reverse on stinky pinky dilutions don’t usually go well, reverse stock splits to achieve minimum bid requirements to uplsit to NASDAQ or another national exchange usually result in significant price appreciation.

Amplitech products consist of RF amplifiers and related subsystems, operating at multiple frequencies from 50kHz to 44GHz, including Low Noise Amplifiers, Medium Power Amplifiers, oscillators, filters, and custom assembly designs. New to its list of products is the 18 to 40 GHz wide band low noise amplifier. It is designed mainly for wideband telecommunications such as military and space applications, point to point radios as well as test equipment.

AmpliTech has also introduced a new line of cryogenic amplifiers designed to operate at temperatures as low as 4K that offer much lower Noise Figures than its standard models and some of the lowest Noise Figures in the industry. Consuming as little DC power as +0.5V DC@8mA, the light weight, compact housings provide excellent performance while generating very little heat. These amplifiers are very useful for applications that require the absolute minimum amounts of noise injection for the growing market of Low Temperature Applications, such as Quantum Computing, Medical Applications, RF Imaging, Research & Development, Space Communications, Accelerators, Radiometry and Telephony.

AmpliTech Low Noise Amplifiers, or LNAs, are amplifiers used in receivers of almost every type of communication system (Wi-Fi, Radar, Satellite, Base station, Cell phone, Radio, etc.) to improve signal strength and increase sensitivity and range of receivers. The Company’s Medium Power Amplifers, or MPAs, provide increased output power and gain in transceiver chains to increase signal power and maintain dynamic range and linearity in Radars, Base-stations, Wireless networks, and almost every communication system. AmpliTech Phase Locked Oscillators, or PLOs, and Dielectric Resonator Oscillators, or DROs, are ultra-stable frequency sources and references in transceiver applications that complement the amplifier chain in the transceivers. The Specialty Microwave BDC assembly is used as a test device on Satellite Access Point (SAP) antennas located worldwide. The BDC assembly down converts a Ka band signal, 17.7 GHz to 19.7 GHz, from the LNAs on either polarization of the antenna to between 950 and 2150 MHz using a high and low band block downconverter. The Specialty Microwave 1:2 Tx Protection Switch panel is a logic panel used in satellite communications earth stations. The system mechanism operates waveguide and coaxial switches to operator desired positions.

Earlier this year Amplitech entered into a JV with Orban Microwave, a state-of-the-art antenna and microwave sub-systems Company headquartered in Orlando, FL. Orban Microwave is a leading designer of advanced custom antennas and microwave sub-systems. Antennas are an integral part of many communication systems, and the Low Noise Amplifiers are the core component connected to every antenna. With the combined high-performance combination of Orban’s MIMO and Phased Array Planar Antennas, coupled with AmpliTech’s Low Noise Amplifiers at the “Front-End” of receivers in 4G/5G/6G wireless networks, and adequate Airline Wi-Fi connectivity, the Company is poised to become a leading supplier of essential terrestrial and satellite 5G and wireless infrastructure sub-systems.
