Noise Figure BREAKTHROUGH !!!
AmpliTech has designed a special amplifier to work in the 12-18 GHz frequency
band. The amplifier is a breakthrough in amplifier technology because
the noise figure is a mere 0.9 dB (overall max NF of 1.1 dB). The Noise
Figure specification is very consistent across the ENTIRE bandwidth -
Actual data is shown below. The APT2-12001800-1105-D2 is available in
our D2 housing.

26 Ghz Low Noise Amplifier
AmpliTech’s most difficult amplifier is our 26 Ghz amplifier,
APT4-00502650-4008-D4. The SMA connectorized LNA has an operating frequency
of 0.5 – 26.5 Ghz, a typical noise figure of 3.3 dB, a minimum
output power of +10 dBm (+20 dBm IP3), a minimum gain of 18 dB, and
a gain flatness (across the entire band) of ±2.5 dB. These are
very popular for R&D, test equipment, receivers, wide-band converters,
and other wide-band equipment. The amplifier comes in our D4 housing
and actual test data is as follows:

| Ultimate
K Band Amplifier
AmpliTech has the complete solution to cover the K band frequency of 18-26.5
GHz. The APT2-18002650-2208-D2 is a connectorized (SMA) amplifier having
a minimum output power of +8 dBm (+13dBm typ), a maximum noise figure of
2.2 dB max (1.9 dB typ), and a minimum gain of 20 dB with a flatness of ± 2.5
dB over the entire band. The amplifier is very efficient, using only a
nominal current of 67 mA (+15VDC supplied) and offered in a lightweight
package. It can be further customized with higher gain, lower noise figures,
higher power, or any other special feature you may need. The amplifier
comes in compact D2 housing and actual test data is as follows:

High
Performance X Band LNA’s
X band amplifiers are in very popular demand because it is the main frequency
band of communication for the military. One very special amplifier is
the APTW3-07250775-04203-137, which is a waveguide (CPR137G) with typical
noise figures in the 0.5 dB range. The frequency range is 7.25-7.75 GHz
but can be extended out with minor changes. The current draw is only
45mA typ. Actual Data is shown below:

Cryogenic
LNA’s
Due to the increased demand for even lower noise figures, AmpliTech has
begun its design of cryogenic amplifiers. These amplifiers are designed
to operate at extremely low temperatures (below the Liquid Helium temperature
of 16 degrees K) in order to take advantage of the decreased noise figures
at these levels.
Efficiency is key for Cryogenic amplifiers so we offer very low DC
Power options (as low as +3 VDC), very low current consumption, and
a very lightweight,
compact housing/design. These amplifiers are very useful for applications
that require the absolute lowest amounts of noise injection - such as
Medical Applications, RF Imaging, Research & Development, Space Communications,
Accelerators, and many other applications. Noise figures as low as 0.07
dB (<5° K) are possible at L band frequencies. These amps are
extremely stable and highly reliable at these operating temperatures.
Custom solutions
are always an option. Cooling systems are also available for all our
Cryogenic Amplifiers. Cryogenic amplifiers can be supplied with waveguide
or SMA
connector interfaces. Actual Data is shown below:

Space
/ Flight Qualified LNA’s
These Low Noise amplifiers are designed,
manufactured, tested, and screened to be extremely reliable and rugged
for Space or Flight Applications.
We use the highest quality parts and pass them through the most rigorous
testing procedures. Screening options include MIL-STD-883 and MIL-PRF-38534.
In addition to the testing and standards that goes into these amps,
we also provide complete documentation, Total Quality, Dedicated Project
Management, Status Reporting, and the most essential requirement; Excellent
Customer Service. Applications include Space Communications, Satellite
applications, Flight systems, R&D, or just Hi-Rel applications
that require high Mean-Time-Between-Failure numbers (as high as 1 Million
hours). Custom designs are available including low cost options to
meet
your budget or level of necessity.

K Band SatCom LNA
AmpliTech’s latest waveguide design (Model No. APTW4-18002650-214K10-42)
is a waveguide (WR-42) amplifier having an operating frequency of 18.0 – 26.5
Ghz, an ultra low noise figure of 191.3 °K typ, and a minimum output
power of +10 dBm (+18 dBm typ). Smaller bandwidths are available with even
better results. Its design is a two piece modular system - which helps
in the assembly, troubleshooting, and field repairs of the amplifier. This
model is unconditionally stable and can operate with the most intense weather
conditions, temperatures (-55° to +85°C), shock, and vibrations.
The amplifier comes with a 3 year standard warranty. These amps are very
popular with the military, telecom, telemetry, and space applications.

All Purpose Wide-Band LNA
AmpliTech’s popular solution to wideband coverage is the APT4-00101800-2510-D6.
The SMA connectorized LNA has an operating frequency of 0.1 – 18.0
Ghz, an ultra low noise figure of 2.5 dB max (2.1 Typ) above 0.5 GHz, a
minimum output power of +10 dBm (+20 dBm IP3), a minimum gain of 26 dB,
with a gain flatness across the entire band of ±2.5 dB. Very important
for system integration is its VSWR, which is typically 2.0:1 for both
the input and output. The amplifier comes with a 3 year standard warranty
and
can be modified to cover down to 0.1 GHz with minor specification changes.
These are very popular for test bench applications, CW and Flat noise
figure ECM systems, simulators, and as Noise Figure (or Spectrum) Analyzer
pre-amps.

Ultra-Linear Limiting Amplifier
AmpliTech’s latest limiting amplifier product is the APT55-02001800-5011-D6-LM.
It is a connectorized (SMA) amplifier having an operating frequency of
2.0 – 18.0 GHz, very linear gain of 64 dB, and a minimum saturated
output power of +16 dBm .This model is unconditionally stable and operates
in the MIL Avionics environment from -55° to +85°C. It also features
a two-tone performance minimum of 6dB amplitude differential for any 2
output signals in the harmonic band (that have a minimum of 6 dB amplitude
differential at the input). This amplifier has become a very popular solution
in DLVA’s, SDLVA’s, and IFM systems (2nd harmonic suppression),
receivers, and simulators. Actual Data is shown below:
