Fawad Maqbool, President
and CEO (Founder) / CTO:
Mr. Maqbool has been in the microwave
business for 25 years. He has a B.S.E.E. in microwave engineering and
a B.S.E.E in Bio-Medical Engineering
from CUNY and an M.S.E.E from Polytechnic University of New York. He
founded AmpliTech in 2002 to fill the need for affordable, high quality,
custom, state-of-the-art amplifiers and components. For almost 14 years
as Department Head, he designed and developed state of the art amplifiers
and components for MITEQ Inc., a leading supplier of microwave components
and communications equipment. He then founded AmpliComm (acquired by
Aeroflex, Inc. (ARXX) in 2000 to develop custom cryogenic and fiber optic
amplifiers and components. Mr. Maqbool’s innovative management
and design experience continues to push AmpliTech’s boundaries
in microwave technology both in commercial and military markets. Mr.
Maqbool has received various awards for innovative design and quality
from suppliers such as Motorola, and publications such as Wireless Design
and Technology magazine. AmpliTech continues to surpass it’s peers
in performance, value, service, and innovation, and is poised to become
the leading supplier of amplifiers and related components in the coming
years.
Mark D. Goldsmith, C.O.O.
Mr. Goldsmith with more than thirty-five years of business experience,
recently joined
The Company and has assumed the responsibilities of Chief Administrative
Officer. He has served most recently as President and CEO of a public
company, Coates International Ltd. and has served various public and
private companies as Chief Officer and/or director. Mr. Goldsmith is
a former Allied Member of the New York Stock Exchange, Associate Member
of the American Stock Exchange and was a director for five years of the
National Investment Bankers Association. Mr. Goldsmith was successful
in building profitable national investment banking and brokerage businesses
as CFO of Muller and Company, Inc., investment banking and syndicate
manager of Stuart Coleman & Co., Inc. and president of Adolph Komorsky,
Inc. member NASD.
Dan Mazziota, Technical / Business Advisor
Mr. Mazziota founded Microwave Power
Devices, Inc. in 1967, which he sold in 1981 to M/A-COM, a leading telecommunications
and defense electronics
company. In addition, he is president of IDM Consulting which provides
consulting services to the high tech M&A field, specializing in the
microwave component and sub system industry. Mr. Mazziota is a former
member of the Chief Executives Organization (CEO) and a senior member
of the IEEE. He served on the Board of Directors of the Metro Chapter
of the World President Organization (an YPO Alumni Organization) where
he served as Chairman from 1996-1998. He received his BEE and MSEE degrees
from New York Polytechnic Institute and is a fellow of the Institute.
Carol Ann Klemm, CFO and Human Resource Director
Ms. Klemm is the past Co-President, Treasurer, CFO, Trustee and Facility Security Officer (Secret Clearance) of National Hybrid Inc., Pace Technology Inc., Semicorp Inc. and Buonaterra Inc. and has over 30 years of experience in multiple disciplines. NHI was in the area of International Micro-electronic Hybrid Circuits, custom and standard product lines that included 1553 data bus, microwave amplifiers, solid state power controllers, opto-electronics and MEMS. Major companies included Northrop/Grumman, Raytheon, Rockwell Collins, Texas Instruments, Narda Microwave, Comtech/PST, Eltech, Smiths Industries, IBM, Honeywell, L3 Comm, BAE, and Hazeltine. This experience coupled with outside involvements brings a vast amount of experience to Amplitech Inc. Carol holds licenses of NYS Real Estate Broker, Notary Public, and FAA Rotocraft Rated Pilot. Past Chairperson of Lovell Safety Management, Plan Administrator of Profit Sharing Plans and 401K Plans, Program Coordinator of Federal EEO/AAP Program. Previously started the Business Education Program EOC for SUNY and attended Queens College. Past member of MacArthur Business Alliance Organization and currently a member of ADDAPT, Suffolk Community College.
Mick Maqbool, Director of IT / MIS
Mr. Maqbool has been in the IT industry for 21 years during which he has performed in all areas of the IT market; namely software development, hardware maintenance, administration, sales and support. He has a B.S.E.E. in Electrical Engineering with Computer Engineering specialization and is a Certified Netware Engineer as well as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. Of late, he was President of IT consulting company Comtech Int‘l, Inc. for 8 years before which he was a partner in another IT consulting firm in NYC called Hitec Computers. Before this, he was an application developer for Carco Group, Inc. and performed these and other functions while serving as Assistant MIS Director at MITEQ, Inc. earlier. Mr. Maqbool has applied his varied experience and the instincts he‘s developed over the years to certain projects such as hosting a live internet radio show, writing technical articles for professional publications as well as maintaining a blog on three different professional websites. Having been at every level of the IT ‘chain‘ and having performed well at each level, Mr. Maqbool knows all about old and new technologies, what decisions to make regarding IT trends and the experience and know-how to solve any problems that surface during the implementation of such technologies.
